Kauai Skate Ohana, Kauai Path and Wilcox Medical Center are partnering with several community organizations to host the 2017 Kauai Keiki Bike & Safety Day. Keiki aged 5-10 are invited to collect stamps on their Bike & Safety Passport to enter prize drawings!
Planned activities and passport stations include:
- A helmet fit station, where Wilcox will be fitting and giving away a limited number of free helmets to keiki aged 5 to 10
- A bike and skateboard safety inspection station, where our partners Kauai Skate Ohana and Kauai Cycle will inspect bikes and skateboards to make sure they are running well
- A bicycle skills enhancement course, conducted by Kauai Path
- A skateboard skills enhancement course, conducted by Kauai Skate Ohana to enhance skateboard skills and demonstrate proper use of safety gear
- American Medical Response-guided ambulance tours
- Activity booths and giveaways from community members and more!
